  1. Flaris LAR 1 Engine Powers Up As First Flight Looms This Summer

Looks like the Flaris LAR 1 VLJ first flight was pushed back because the initial test flight was due for Spring. Now they are saying it is for the Summer and they are working hard with Williams International to conclude preparations relating to the single FJ-33-5A engine. Flaris says that S/N 5 and S/N 7 articles are dedicated to the flight test program while S/N 6 is expected to be for ground testing.
  2. For this month the Williams International FJ-33-5A was successfully run through all phases of the power range. The safety parachute which is expected to be deployed in case of emergency in most stages of flight is almost ready it appears as the hard-points and container to carry it is also ready and installed on the test articles. Flaris assures that the first flight will take place this Summer although a specific date has not been publicly set.
