Super Midsize G280 Deliveries Top 300 Units While most of the attention Gulfstream has given to its large-cabin and ultra-long-range offerings like the Gulfstream G700 and the forthcoming G800 the company still has its Super Midsize category aircraft like the G280 in its arsenal. That aircraft has not had the spotlight on it but has been securing orders and deliveries to its customers. This month the airframer announced that it had delivered the 300th example of the Gulfstream G280 to a customer.
"Achieving this delivery milestone reinforces the continued strong demand for the G280." said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream. "Known for its unique combination of speed, performance and cabin flexibility, the G280 remains top of the super-midsize class and continues to set the industry standard." As of May 2025, the in-service G280 fleet has accrued more than 575,000 flight hours and completed nearly 358,000 landings. The aircraft has a National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) dispatch reliability rate of 99.88%.
At its long-range cruise speed of MACH 0.80, the aircraft has a range of approximately 3,600 nautical miles. The aircraft comes with dual Honeywell HTF7250G that give around 7,624 pounds of thrust per engine. The G280 may not be the top of the stable for Gulfstream but it has still amassed over 85 city-pair speed-related records.
