  1. Gulfstream Flies Fifth Flight Test G600
The fifth and final Gulfstream G600 took off from Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport for a close to three hour first flight yesterday. The first flight saw the aircraft climb to 51,000-feet and a speed of Mach 0.85. The aircraft left Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport in the afternoon just after 3pm local time. This is the final G600 that has joined the test program and this one is fitted with a full production interior.
  2. “The goal of including a production aircraft in our flight-test program is to ensure we deliver the most functional, comfortable and reliable cabin environment for our customers,” said Gulfstream president Mark Burns. “Our extensive testing will validate design and performance, so we can provide a cabin that exceeds expectations.” The five G600 aircraft engaged in the flight test program have logged just above 790 flight hours so far. This particular G600 jet is expected to make an appearance at the NBAA Convention slated for Las Vegas in October.
