  1. G300 Super Midsize Jet Unveiled By Gulfstream
The Super Midsize segment for Gulfstream has been dominated by the G280 in recent years. The G280 has seen a few updates over the years but Gulfstream has done a total remake in the form of the new G300 which will replace the G280. It is still reminiscent of the G280 but with all the exterior cues of the other newer stablemates. Even though Gulfstream has now announced this aircraft, it has actively been ground-testing in Israel with over 2,000 ground test hours. Yes, IAI will be building the aircraft and shipping them as green-frames to the U.S for fitting-out and completion.
  2. The 'porthole' windows are now replaced with the signature 'Gulfstream Oval' windows. In the interior the cabin can be configured in up to two zones with a passenger capacity for up to 10 and sleeping 5. But configurations can be for 9 passengers and sleep 4 or 8 passengers and sleep 4. The cockpit windows are a bit more sculpted, further mirroring that of the current fleetmates. Inside the cockpit, out goes the Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion base avionics system of the G280 and in steps the Honeywell EPIC-2 Harmony suite. The G300 combines trans-Atlantic range with short-field agility, covering 3,600 nautical miles/6,667 kilometers at Mach 0.80 or 3,000 nautical miles/5,556 kilometers at Mach 0.84. The aircraft features a maximum cruise altitude of 45,000-feet/13,716-meters and the lowest cabin altitude in its class at 4,800-feett/1,463-meters when flying at 41,000-feet/12,497-meters. This comes alongside 100% fresh air, a plasma ionization air purification system.
  3. Gulfstream President, Mark Burns said that the idea was to take the high-end interior look and feel of the larger cabin offerings of Gulfstream and try to shrink them down into the super midsize format of the G300. Customers in the Super Midsize market will also be able to feel the upgraded cabin experience without having to purchase a large-cabin aircraft. “Fueled by a decade of investment and our future-forward approach, the Gulfstream next-generation fleet offers our customers the most innovative family of aircraft,” said Burns. “We know how important the Super-Midsize cabin segment is to our customers, so building on the highly successful G280 program, the G300 will reenergize the category with its heightened technology and safety enhancements, alongside the legendary comfort and styling of a Gulfstream.”
  4. “The G300 program is making great progress and the vision for this aircraft is well on its way to becoming a reality for our customers as they look for an airplane that will exceed their expectations in the super-midsize class,” added Burns. Gulfstream announced the G300 at its exclusive Discover the Difference customer event in Savannah. During the event, Gulfstream President Mark Burns revealed a full-scale mock-up of the G300 and showed photos of the first aircraft in production. The aircraft should be priced at around 28.9 million dollars.
