  1. Kittyhawk Announces Plan To Wind Down Business
In the supersonic race, the inordinate amount of money needed to see these programs through to market readiness has caused the demise of contenders. In the eVTOL race, while not as much money may be involved for some companies, the competition and and developmental costs will weed-out a few contenders. News is that Kittyhawk is planning to close down their eVTOL endeavours. Kittyhawk would have been one of the early names in eVTOL development.
  2. It doesn't appear that the company is folding-up shop entirely as they are still in the phase of trying to understand what is next for the company but the Kittyhawk eVTOL venture is being wound-down. Since 2010, Kittyhawk has been developing various eVTOL designs with their latest efforts being focused on Heaviside autonomous eVTOL designs which has garnered interest from defense communities. Kitty hawk also has been involved with Boeing in the development of Wisk Aero and it is not clear with their winding-down in business will affect the joint venture with Boeing.
