  1. Series III Kodiak 100 Unveiled By Kodiak
The latest iteration (Series III) of the Kodiak 100 has been unveiled by Daher. The first aircraft too has already been handed over to the customer. The launch customer of the Series III is Rick and Adam Ross in Sandpoint, Idaho. The second example will be delivered to another customer later this week. The Kodiak 100 is a very versatile aircraft being equally at home on finished runways as it is on unimproved surfaces like grass, gravel and even in the water once equipped with floats.
  2. Some of the improvements made to the Series III include; eight-seat Executive Edition cabin with club-type seating for passengers, making it a further VIP feel to the cabin. The air conditioning has controls for both the cockpit and cabin zones, as well as an increased oxygen capacity. As an option there is Enhanced quality exterior paint and this is provided with an extended three-year warranty. Other improvements include the Garmin GWX™ 75 which is the weather radar. The doppler-capable instrument offers fully stabilized color weather radar on a Kodiak. This radar’s high-definition color palette enables more detailed contouring of storm cells, which is combined with its exceptional range and adjustable scanning profiles This naturally results in easier decision making for the pilots on where to fly for the smoothest possible path. Of course there are all the trappings found on the Garmin G1000 NXi flight deck too. From the GFC700 autopilot with full envelope protection and level mode, an angle of attack (AOA) indicator, SurfaceWatch runway monitoring technology, ChartView-enabled card, and the Synthetic Vision Technology for virtual flight reference, the pilots are in great stead with this aircraft. The landing weight has also been increased on the Series III now having 7,255 lbs ability.
