  1. Interior Cabin Seats For Lilium Jet Reveal
With the Lilium Jet eVTOL coming closer to reality and entering service, the interior aspects of the craft are becoming more zeroed-in. For example, Lilium recently partnered with Expliseat (a French seat manufacturer) to create the cabin seats of the Lilium Jet. The seats will be plush and luxurious looking but more importantly will be lighter than average aluminum seats. Expliseat makes their seats using high-grade materials like carbon fiber and titanium. This will result in a 35% lighter product per seat.
  2. Amaury Barberot, CEO Expliseat, said: "Expliseat leads the forefront for sustainable seating solutions. Lilium’s selection of Expliseat is a testimony to our technological advances and to the efficient balance offered by the TiSeat between weight saving and extra comfort. We are proud to develop one of the first serially produced eVTOL seats in history, compliant with the specific safety standards applicable to the industry, and to contribute to Lilium’s pioneering development." In April, JF reported that the Lilium Jet entry into service might be impacted. Originally it was expected to be certified in 2023. If it is a revised timeline, entry into service will be in 2025.
