eVTOL Flight Tests To Restart Soon At Lilium As with many developmental programs around the world the story has been the same, Covid-19 shutdown progress and flight testing. One of the contenders in the eVTOL space, Lilium, is looking to resume flight testing of their Lilium Jet eVTOL aircraft program. To date, they have been flight testing on one article/demonstrator. When they resume, Lilium should have the second demonstrator ready for action to continue the maturity of the program.
The second aircraft will naturally be the same dimensions as the first but it will be used to work out the kinks related to transitioning into lateral flight. Once these tests are concluded Lilium would be in a better place to further move forward with other critical parts of the program. According to their progress timeline, the company secured 240 million earlier this year to continue the program.
