  1. Pilatus PC-24 To Reopen Order Book After Operator Feedback
Oscar Schwenk, chairman of Pilatus Aircraft says he acknowledges that there is strong interest for the PC-24 Super Versatile Jet but won't bow to the pressure to reopen the order book prematurely. "We must give it time before we start on the next order round," says Schwenk. "We will gather feedback from a range of operators on how their PC-24 is performing, to see what, if any, steps need to be taken to iron out any issues with the aircraft. This will take several months, so it is likely that we will not start taking new orders until next year." You would remember that Plane Sense was the first operator in the world to take delivery and press the PC-24 into service.
  2. Additionally, Pilatus Aircraft has actively started testing the PC-24 operating on unpaved surfaces. The first PC-24, registered HB-VXA performed admirably. Pilatus Aircraft has delivered almost 5 examples of the PC-24 so far to private and commercial customers. The first Air Ambulance variants of the PC-24 will deliver in the fourth quarter of the year going to Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) out of Australia. Pilatus Aircraft prefers to wait to see what operators issues are like and to work to iron them out before taking new orders. Even existing customers have a cap on their orders.
