Pipistrel eVTOL Plans With Uber Air Loose Charge Slovenian company Pipistrel has gone the other direction when it comes to thinking about eVTOL. Pipistrel was one of several companies working on eVTOL aircraft that was selected by Uber Air to perhaps conduct urban air taxi services in the near future. The company definitely is still working on their aircraft just in different applications now. Pipistrel are now looking to develop their eVTOL for cargo work. They are also looking into hydrogen power for 10-passenger variant.
Problems relating to the length of time it is taking for the Uber Air program to gain traction with international authorities are among the chief concerns for Pipistrel. Uber Air and Pipistrel may still be viable in the future but for now the company is focusing its efforts on projects with a mainstream angle of approach.
