  1. Uber To Get Skyport Facilities From Signature Flight Support
Things are starting to move in a realistic direction when it comes to urban mobility vehicles and that new industry. There are numerous companies currently developing tangible prototypes and have them in the flight-testing phases while some are in earlier phases of development and others are just mere concepts at this stage. However, what we have not been seeing is the physical infrastructure to support these Urban air vehicles being talked about much less be in development.
  2. Signature Flight Support, a name that is big in the FBO business seems to be keen on dipping its feet into the market with an announcement that it will build infrastructure for Uber to support eVTOL aircraft from Uber Air. Signature Flight Support made the announcement today at Uber Elevate summit and said it is in a nationwide partnership with Uber Elevate to facilitate ground based operations and skyport infrastructure for Uber Air. "Signature Flight Support’s operational prowess and industry leading understanding of the private aviation space makes them an ideal fit for Uber Elevate’s business," said Eric Allison, Head of Uber Elevate."Efficient and safe skyports are a critical component of our business model, and our future collaboration with Signature will allow for a seamless rider experience from the moment they arrive at a Skyport, to the moment they depart".
