Textron Aviation Expands Service Capability On U.S East Coast Textron Aviation just announced their expanded service capabilities on the United States East coast region. Owners of aircraft that fall under the Textron Aviation umbrella can now rest assured they have quality support on this side of the continent. This is because their company-owned service facilities in Greensboro, N.C., Wilmington, Del., Newburgh, N.Y. and Atlanta, Ga., have received new certifications from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), expanding their capabilities to provide service and support to Beechcraft King Air, Cessna Citation and Hawker customers. With the new FAA certification in hand both Newburgh and Greensboro facilities are authorized to service Beechcraft King Air 90-, 200- and 300-series aircraft and Hawker 125-series jets, while the Wilmington and Atlanta facilities are now authorized to service Cessna Citation X-, Sovereign-, and Excel-series aircraft as well as the Citation Mustang.
“These new certifications represent progress in a global strategy to service all of our brands at each of our company-owned service facilities,” said Brad Thress, senior vice president, Customer Service. “We are delivering on our service commitments and these expanded capabilities will provide easier access to factory-direct support and expertise for our customers in the East.” Further down the line Textron expects by year end that all of their facilities to gain FAA certification for expanded service roles as only 11 of the 21 establishments have been certified to date.
