  1. Electric Microliner Aircraft By Vaeridion
Another electric aircraft is currently under development. It is the electric microliner being developed by Vaeridion. In fact the company just signed a partnership agreement with Molicel Batteries to provide the battery set up for the 9-seat aircraft. Vaeridion describes its aircraft’s “advanced architecture” as defined by a “wing-integrated battery system,”. The batteries aren't being carried in the fuselage under the floor as the way some other aircraft assemble. The Microliner's wing-integrated configuration is designed and intended to reduce weight and increase performance overall.
  2. The company is actively developing the aircraft with a view to have the first flight of the twin-powerplant, single-propeller prototype testbed in 2027. Molicel is not a new player in the industry as they have developed battery systems for established eVTOL companies that are fully developing eVTOL craft. Archer Aviation and Vertical Aerospace come to mind.
  3. In the previous year, the CEO of Vaeridion -Ivor van Dartel- suggested that battery testing could possibly commence in the second half of 2026. With the just-announced partnership with Molicel, the company is heading in the right direction. The plan is to commence these tests on the Dornier D328 UpLift flying testbed. All of this will be made available with the support of the DLR German Research Agency.
  4. Vaeridion's work is measured at this stage and they are not rushing to bring anything to market quickly. In fact, they suggested that the 9-seat microliner is going to be certified before the end of the decade. The Early indications for the Microliner’s range is around 216 nautical miles.
