VoltAero Talks Cassio Line Integration With KinectAir VoltAero is developing a line of hybrid-electric planes that seat from four to ten persons and can fly at around 200-knots to a distance of 800 miles. The VoltAero Cassio 330 model is likely to be the first to come to market by 2022 according to the airframer. The aircraft will need less than 1,800 feet to take off as well making small area airports and FBOs attractive for operations. Cassio deliveries will begin in late 2022. The aircraft will be produced on a purpose-built final assembly line in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region of southwest France.
"The KinectAir collaboration opens exciting opportunities, combining the full benefit of our Cassio aircraft’s low-noise, environmentally-friendly flights with an app that offers an accessible, affordable, sustainable and safe way to travel regionally by air," explained Jean Botti, VoltAero’s CEO and Chief Technology Officer. The VoltAero Cassio is going to be available in three variants, the four-seater is the smallest at this stage.
