  1. XTI TriFan 600 Orderbook Grows With Brazil Sale
While the hype is there for fully electric and hybrid-electric airplanes, most of these efforts by companies is on the smaller scale. Right now XTI is working on a VTOL (Vertical Take Off and Landing) aircraft which has been in the works for a while, since 2013. To bring it to market is the hard part as this long development and then certification phases is extremely costly. The hype is there so far with 60-plus orders for their XTI Trifan 600. Recently an order came in from Brazil for an XTI TriFan 600.
  2. XTI is slowly chipping away at development goals. Currently they are working on a 60% scale model that was supposed to have made its first flight this month but supplier issues held them back. That should happen in a few more weeks. Once this stage goes well then they will work on a full-size model. For this, they are engaged in raising 25-million dollars to fund a full size model which they think will fly in second half of 2020. A couple more funding campaigns would be initiated afterwards to provide the capital for the completion of development and bring the TriFan 600 to market probably by 2022.
