  1. Nextant Aerospace Readies First G90XT For First Flight
Nextant Aerospace is preparing the first G90XT for its first flight. The G90XT should have already had its first flight but bad weather hampered those efforts. They are also hoping to gain U.S FAA Certification during the first half of 2015 for this particular aircraft. The G90XT is essentially a remanufactured King Air C90. According to Nextant's President Sean McGeough, "the aircraft is ready to fly, we are just waiting for the right conditions." The newly remanufactured aircraft has a number of upgrades from the version under Hawker Beechcraft. For one, the interior is totally brand new and reimagined. The cockpit benefits from an upgrade to the Garmin G1000 avionics suite and the engines are now GE H75-100 engines, ditching the previous Pratt & Whitney PT6 Turbo props. A new G90XT from Nextant Aerospace is projected to cost 2.6 million while customers choosing to have their existing King Air C90s retrofitted can get that done for around 2 million. Nextant Aerospace's remanufacturing program is going along decently having completing 16 Nextant 400XTis in 2014. Once the G90XT clears certification and successfully enters into service, Nextant plans to announce a third remanufactured aircraft.
