This should be mandatory reading for all pilots. It is for me. I hope I have learned a few lessons by reading about the mistakes of others. Edit 12-30- 14.......NTSB bookmark link has changed. http://www.ntsb.gov/_layouts/ntsb.aviation/month.aspx Walt
WALT i would like to find out about a plane that crashed over sea's back in the 90's could you help me travler
I'll try! First, the NTSB as you know is a United States agency. They only investigate foreign accidents if they are invited . Many times they are asked for help especially if the aircraft was made by a USA company ,like Boeing. Below is the link for search page for the database. http://www.ntsb.gov/aviationquery/index.aspx Post as much info of the crash as you can remember and someone might remember more info until we find the report.
I remember this one: A Grumman Mallard flying boat crashed in St. Croix close to my sailboat and one of the pilots was a friend of mine: http://www.ntsb.gov/aviationquery/brief.aspx?ev_id=20001213X35006&key=1 Turned out an aileron cable had chafed on the wire bundle from an engine generator, then the cables arched and burned off the aileron cable and they lost control just after take off..
