  1. FAA Gives Approval To Gulfstream Brazil To Service U.S Registered Gulfstream Jets In Brazil
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has given the greenlight to Gulfstream Brazil service teams to perform maintenance on U.S registered Gulfstream models. The FAA gace Part 145 approval to Gulfstream Brazil recently for the service center located in Sorocaba. It made perfect sense to set up this service center there because many of Gulfstream jet owners and U.S-based customers conduct business in Brazil. Since they frequent Brazil regularly Gulfstream must be able to provide service capabilities. The FAA approval covers the following Gulfstream aircraft: GV series, including G550; GIV series, including G450; G200, G150, G100 and GIII. Approval for the G650 and G280 is expected later in 2015. In August 2014, Gulfstream Brazil employees moved into a nearly 38,000-square-foot/3,530-square-meter facility at the same airport. The site includes a 34,768-sq-ft/3,230-sq-m hangar and a parts warehouse with more than $8 million in inventory.
