  1. Gulfstream To Miss Delivery Targets For 2023
Although the Gulfstream G700 is anticipated to be certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the fourth quarter of this year, starting those new deliveries for the new jet will not be enough to keep Gulfstream on par with last year's full-year deliveries. It is now anticipated Gulfstream will miss their delivery guidance target for 2023 by up to 6 aircraft. The airframer blames supply-chain woes.
  2. Gulfstream delivered 45 aircraft (35 large-cabin and 10 super-midsize G280s) in the first half of this year which is down slightly from the 47 (38 large-cabin and nine G280s) for the same period in 2022. The original full-year target for 2023 was 145 aircraft. 27 aircraft should be delivered for the third quarter of 2023 which leaves the airframer around 73 aircraft to deliver in the 4th quarter. That will not happen so they are looking at delivering 68 aircraft for the fourth quarter which is expected to include 19 G700. Despite this, the company overall is doing satisfactorily. Gulfstream's order backlog reflected at $19.497 billion at the end of the quarter which represents approximately $700 million higher than a year ago.
