We start this thread on a bit of a sad note with news of a demonstrator plane that is taking part in the Singapore Air Show crashed. The aircraft is said to be a Korean plane of a fighter type. It belongs to the Black Eagles demonstrating team from the Republic of Korea Air Force. It skidded off the runway and onto the grass verge of runway 1 at Changi Airport turned over and caught fire. A message from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore in relation to the fighter crash that resulted in the closure of runway 1 at Changi International Airport and the delaying of scores of flights. Changi Airport Runway 1 has re-opened. Affected passengers can approach any Changi Airport customer service staff for assistance. Alternatively, they can refer to the latest flight information (at http://www.changiairport.com) before going to the airport.

Dassault Falcon presented their new flagship, the Falcon 8X at the recently concluded Singapore Air Show. It starred alongside its smaller sibling, the Falcon 2000LXS. It was the first time that the long range Dassault jet has been at a Singapore Air Show.
