"Kick the tires and light the fires"...that's a popular one usual you might hear that in the military/navy. Basically means a very quick walkaround check that probably was not thoroughly carried out and then get in and start the engines to take off. *** "Flight attendants please disarm doors for arrival...ladies and gentlemen last person off the plane gets to clean it!" Good way to get everyone off faster!
Tower: "Delta 351, you have traffic at 10 o'clock, 6 miles!" Delta 351: "Give us another hint! We have digital watches!"
"TWA 2341, for noise abatement turn right 45 Degrees." "Centre, we are at 35,000 feet. How much noise can we make up here?"
