3700 Nautical Miles On The Embraer Praetor 600 With Brazilian certification in hand the Embraer Praetor 600 flew way North to the United States recently. In doing so it flew nearly 3,700 nautical miles which is impressive in itself. Part of the reason why the flight spanned that much territory was because it had to fly around Venezuelan airspace as it transited from Sao Paulo to Fort Lauderdale. With the diversion around the airspace that stretched the flight a bit. However, the Praetor 600 showed it could handle the distance easily.
Embraer suggests the Praetor 600 has a range of around 4,018 nautical miles which beat the original estimate of 3,900 nautical miles. This flight turned out to be 3,678 nautical miles and naturally landed in FLL with fuel to spare. At Mach 0.80 the Praetor 600 can fly for 3,719 nautical miles (four passengers, NBAA IFR reserves).
