  1. Comfort; Speed; Range Enhanced On G700
After excessive testing of the Gulfstream G700, the airframer today has announced that it has increased the overall performance of this model. The range, speed and comfort for passengers in the cabin have all been enhanced. The G700 already had impressive figures but in an industry where the competition at the top is unrelenting, airframers have to constantly keep their class-leading products fully-desirable. In recent years, Gulfstream has been battling Bombardier for the top of the long-range, high-speed business class segment and the Global 7500 has taken over from the G650ER. The G700 is aiming to reclaim that lost ground.
  2. More than 4,100 flight test hours have been logged across the G700 test program. 5 flight test vehicles and 2 fully-outfitted test aircraft were used and all the information gathered from these flights and real-world testing have led to the revision of the G700's capabilities and performance. According to Gulfstream, the range of the G700 has now increased to 7,750 nautical miles which is a 250 nautical mile gain in range over previous estimates.
  3. The top speed of the aircraft has also increased with the G700 now boasting a maximum speed of Mach 0.935 which is up from 0.925. Officially the G700 is the fastest executive jet in the Gulfstream line-up. Additionally, there has been a reduction in the cabin altitude. In the cabin, the lowest cabin altitude in business aviation has been further reduced to 2,840 feet/866 meters while flying at 41,000 ft/12,497 m, providing even more comfort for passengers.
  4. "We are undertaking one of the most extensive flight test programs as the G700 is the first business aircraft to undergo Federal Aviation Administration certification following the passage of the 2020 Aircraft Certification, Safety, and Accountability Act," said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream. "As a result, we will be delivering an extremely mature, rigorously tested aircraft that will outperform expectations in speed, range and cabin comfort. Our certification efforts continue to advance, and we look forward to delivering the G700 to customers around the world."
