  1. Raisbeck Engineering Wins FAA STC For King Air B200 Props
Raisbeck Engineering recently received Federal Aviation Administration Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for Hartzell's 5-bladed composite swept blades destined for the King Air 200. The modification was actually announced at the 2019 NBAA-BACE show in Las Vegas. The twin turboprops will now be able to benefit from the swept-oriented composite blades as they are significantly lighter than the OEM blades. In fact it is estimated that the composite Hartzell blades are 48 lbs lighter.
  2. Installations by Raisbeck Engineering will start next month now that they have the FAA STC in hand. They also will be going after STC's from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Brazil's ANAC and Transport Canada! The benefits of these new blades on the King Air 200 family include 25 percent improved climb out with flaps up, 16.5 percent runway acceleration, improved cabin quietness and they just look great! They are carbon-fiber composite with nickel cobalt leading edges and basically have unlimited life which lowers your maintenance bill on them.
