The 2013 Paris Airshow is coming up later this month. I will try tokeep you up to date with what's happening at the show based on the news I see coming out from the event. The Show starts June 17 and runs throught until the 23rd. The 50th Paris Air Show will take place at Le Bourget exhibition center. The show is open to the public between Friday 21 June and Sunday 23 June 2013. An area at the north end of the site and a viewing stand, both of which will offer great views of the flying displays, will be reserved for General Public visitors.
Bombardier announces their arrival in Paris for the 2013 Paris Airshow. They will have a number of different type aircraft at the show, a Global Express, Q400, CRJ1000 etc. A mock up of the Bombardier 350 will be there as well.
Embraer will display its A-29 Super Tucano at the Paris air show for the first time, a top company official says. The aircraft will not fly, but will be on static display. "We are going to bring our Super Tucano to Le Bourget," says Luiz Carlos Aguiar, chief executive of Embraer Defense and Security. "This is the first time in history the airplane will be there."
Boeing has a Boeing 787 in Air India livery, it will ofcourse be going to that state-run airline afterwards but Boeing will be using it in the flying display at the Paris Airshow 2013.

Even before the Paris AirShow has started fully alot of the aircraft that will be demonstrating in this year's Le Bourget Air Show have been going through their practice runs. One of them was the Su-35 Flanker-E bound to be a highlight at the AirShow for sure. ***

Piaggio Aero has unveiled its Hammerhead pilot-less aircraft at the Paris AirShow 2013. It is essentially an intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance version of its Avanti II P180 business aircraft. The Hammerhead is designed to climb to 45,000ft and loiter at 135kt, with an endurance of up to 16h. Based on a certificated Mach 0.7 aircraft, the Pratt & Whitney PT6A-66B-powered Hammerhead will be the "fastest medium altitude long endurance (MALE) UAV ever designed", says Piaggio. ***
Michael O'Leary breaks silence and orders 175 Boeing 737s for Ryanair, a 3-billion dollar order. "It's a great pleasure to be here," said O'Leary, breaking his self-imposed, 25-year silence at industry trade shows, which, he complains, crawl with "aerosexuals".
