    Hi all,

Shawn M here, first time ever positing. I have been chartering planes for the past two years spending close to 7 figures a year in charter as I’m flying weekly - missions are anywhere between 1-3.5 hours (Los Angeles to Dallas being the furthest).

I prefer mid/heavy jets even though I usually fly alone.

I think it’s come time to make a purchase as prices start to fall. I’m a bit lost as brokers, sellers, pilots all tell me many different things. I thought a G200 was the move given the price points but I quickly learned that they are hated by everyone from the owners to the pilots and are maintenance pits. Now I’m eyeing the Challenger 604/5 or a Sovereign.

I’m trying to find a good balance between safety, comfort, maintenance and operational costs - while keeping the plane purchase cost around $4-7 Mill.

Any tips, thoughts and/or insights would be welcomed and very helpful.
