The Aircraft Interiors Expo 2013 just concluded yesterday for this year. There were a number of new things at the expo as it relates to aircraft interiors. One of them is lounghaul economy seat by Recaro. Long-haul seats were Recaro's main focus at this year's Aircraft Interiors Show/Expo. The manufacturer, based in Germany has revealed its new "Comfort Line" (CL) 3710 economy class seat and a concept demonstrator for a future business class seat for long-haul aircraft.

Greenpoint Technologies contracts an airline interiors manufacturing program. The build‐to‐print and testing program includes manufacturing interior bar units, coat closets and video control cabinets (VCC) for eight (8) Boeing 777‐200 aircraft. The customer will provide the engineering and certification. First article inspections start in four (4) months with deliveries beginning in February 2014. All twenty‐four (24) units are planned to deliver prior to December 31, 2014. “This is the first airline interiors program for Greenpoint’s manufacturing division. The team’s ability to manufacture highly complex VIP products, while delivering on‐time, was proven by the 747‐8 Aeroloft® program. Greenpoint’s manufacturing offers a quality and timely solution for airlines seeking interior improvements,” affirms Greenpoint President and CEO, Scott Goodey.

The Boeing Business Jet Convertible (BBJ C) The aircraft converts from all-passenger to all-cargo configuration in less than eight hours. Governments, corporations and private individuals can quickly change from transporting VIPs, staff or troops to delivering disaster-relief supplies or configuring for medical evacuation. Boeing says there is room for transporting tools, parts and machinery; racing cars or racehorses; or equipment for touring bands and musicians.
