Bombardier reinforces its Customer Services network in Latin America with the inauguration of a Regional Support Office in Toluca, Mexico. Bombardier Aerospace continues to enhance its aftermarket support worldwide by opening a new Regional Support Office (RSO) in Toluca, Mexico. The office will anchor regional support capabilities for Bombardier business aircraft customers throughout Mexico, and surrounding areas.
Geneva, Switzerland-based Global Jet has added a Bombardier Challenger 605 to its fleet. Addition of the Challenger 605 follows hard on the heels on Global Jet’s January expansion, which included an ACJ319 and a Cessna Citation XLS+. Last year, the company added 15 business aircraft to its management portfolio. “Currently, we are managing nearly 70 aircraft,” comments Global Jet’s VP for Aircraft Management, Edouard Lehembre. Bombardier provided an upbeat 2016 revenue forecast on Thursday despite its struggles to get its costly new CSeries airliner into service. Bombardier chief executive Pierre Beaudoin told investors in New York that it expects 2016 revenue to be between USD$23 billion and USD$25 billion, and that it could top USD$30 billion in five years. The Montreal-based company had 2013 revenue of USD$18.2 billion, and has already forecast 2014 revenue of about USD$20 billion. It expects revenue in 2015 will fall somewhere between that of 2014 and 2016.

Long-Time Bombardier Customer Adria Airways Orders Two CRJ900 NextGen Aircraft FIDAE 2014 – Bombardier Aerospace announced today that Adria Airways of Ljubljana, Slovenia has signed a firm purchase agreement for two CRJ900 NextGen regional jets. A Star Alliance member with over fifty years of experience in scheduled and charter services, Adria Airways has been a Bombardier customer since March 1997. It currently operates four CRJ200, two CRJ900 and two CRJ900 NextGen regional jets. Based on the list price for the CRJ900 NextGen aircraft, the order is valued at approximately $92 million US. “Our Bombardier CRJ900 regional jets have proven to be most efficient and economical assets to increase capacity and replace larger aircraft where passenger loads are insufficient,” said Mark Anžur, Chief Executive Officer, Adria Airways. “With its demonstrated reliability and low fuel consumption, the CRJ900 NextGen regional jet offers an unmatched mix of cost efficiency, network flexibility and passenger appeal.” “Adria Airways is among the growing list of operators who are benefitting from the proven performance of the CRJ900 NextGen regional jet. Bombardier Aerospace announced today that a customer from Latin America, who has requested to remain unidentified, has signed a firm purchase agreement for one CRJ700 NextGen aircraft for use in special mission applications. Based on aircraft list price, the contract including ancillary services and modification work on the aircraft is valued at approximately $67 million US. Details of the services and modification work will also not be disclosed at this time.

Bombardier Aerospace announced today that North Cariboo Air, based in Western Canada, which recently took delivery of its first Q400 turboprop, has enrolled the aircraft in the Smart Parts program. Two additional Q400 aircraft, scheduled to be delivered this year, will also be covered by the program. The Smart Parts agreement is customized to meet North Cariboo Air’s specific operational and performance needs and will provide the charter airline with competitive and predictable component exchange and repair costs, as well as superior quality and availability of key components. North Cariboo Air, which already operates a variety of Bombardier aircraft, is now growing with the addition of Q400 turboprops to its fleet. “Through our Smart Parts program, North Cariboo Air can count on enhanced budget predictability and dispatch availability, which are crucial to successful operations today,” said Gary Martin, Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Service Programs, Bombardier Customer Services. “This agreement reflects trust in the value of our OEM-designed service programs.” “As a small operator, the Smart Parts program for Q400 aircraft was determined to be the best fit for our organization,” said Dave Williamson, Director of Maintenance, North Cariboo Air. “The program provided us with reduced start-up costs while ensuring a high confidence level in our Q400 operation knowing that we will be supported by the aircraft OEM.”
Bombardier and the CSeries program in terms of orders... In a recent market analysis, the Canadian airframe maker cites firm order figures for the CSeries of 201 aircraft from 18 customers, compared with 47 from three customers for the Airbus A319neo, 55 from two customers for the Boeing 737-7 Max, and 100 from two customers for the Embraer E190/195 E2. According to Bombardier’s books, the “CSeries dominates the 100- to 149-seat category,” amassing almost half of all the firm orders. (AIN)

Adria Airways (Adria) of Ljubljana, Slovenia, Falko Regional Aircraft Limited (Falko), and Bombardier Aerospace today announced that Falko has added a Bombardier CRJ900 NextGen aircraft to its portfolio and that the aircraft has been leased to Adria. This acquisition by Falko, a global lessor focused on the regional aircraft sector, resulted from a sale and leaseback agreement with Adria and follows an earlier purchase agreement between Bombardier and Adria for two CRJ900 NextGen aircraft. Falko and Adria have agreed to finance the second CRJ900 NextGen aircraft under a similar sale and leaseback arrangement.
Bombardier Aerospace announced that a customer in the Middle East and Africa region, who has requested to remain unidentified at this time, placed a firm order for two Q400 NextGen turboprop airliners. Based on the list price of the Q400 NextGen airliner, the order is valued at approximately $62 million US. “We are delighted that operators in the Middle East and Africa region are showing such strong confidence in the Q400 NextGen aircraft as they continue to recognize the advantages offered by its operational flexibility,” said Ray Jones, Senior Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Asset Management, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft. “That flexibility has increased even further with the now available extra capacity seating configuration, which offers up to 86 seats and boasts up to a 17 per cent seat-cost advantage for operators compared to its closest turboprop competitor.”
