Cessna Ramping Up On Citation Longitude Progress American builder Cessna is speeding up the efforts on their new flagship model, the Citation Longitude. With the Cessna Citation Latitude research program coming to a close, they are focused on getting the Longitude into production. Toward the latter half of 2014, the Longitude development program accelerated and is expected to continue into 2015. The debut of the aircraft was supposed to have been in 2017 with a first flight in 2016 but it may not happen on that timeline. Cessna has been pretty quiet about this particular program only suggesting that we will see the debut of the Citation Longitude in the not-too-distant future. The Longitude is expected to have a 4,000 nautical mile range and carry a near 26-million dollar price tag. The Citation Longitude was officially announced to the public in May 2012.
