Norse Atlantic Airways is in the news. The new start-up airline has now delayed its new ticket sales because of what they term as uncertainties coming out for the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war. Ticket sales have now been pushed back to April. The good news is that the airline has secured slots at London Gatwick airport (LGW).

The newest airline in the Caribbean has made an order for 20 Boeing 737-8-200 aircraft. The airline is called Arajet and is a Dominican Republic-based airline. Arajet also has options to purchase 15 additional 737 MAX jets which, along with existing lease agreements, could take the airline's new fuel-efficient fleet to 40 airplanes. The aircraft order was finalized in January and is currently attributed to an unidentified customer on Boeing's Orders and Deliveries website.

Qantas is to reinstate its full first class offering on its Airbus A380s by the end of this month. From 27 March, Qantas will reopen its Sydney and Melbourne International Business Lounges as more passengers take to the skies and revert its First Lounges in Australia, which operated as hybrid First/Business Lounges during the pandemic, to the full premium offering. Qantas Chief Customer Officer Stephanie Tully said the return of airline’s premium offerings is a welcome sign of travel continuing to take off. "We know that our customers have missed the Qantas A380 travel experience as much as our team has missed being able to provide it for them so it’s fantastic that we’re back in the air with our premium full service on these newly refurbished aircraft."

Here is a look inside the SAS Airbus A321LR product. The seating is a highly-customized version of Thompson Aero's Vantage seat. These touches of luxury include shoe stowage, a footwell massage bar, a headphone strap and bottle retainer, and a cocktail table. The seat positions can be adjusted and fine-tuned by the passenger and include a leg rest and lumbar support. Andy Morris, VP Commercial at AVIC Cabin Systems, says: "We worked very closely with SAS to understand their ethos, aims, and requirements. We are really pleased with the results of our collaboration. The seats look great, and we hope they will prove hugely popular with SAS’s passengers."

Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has now added 32 Boeing jets that comprise of both the 737-8 and 737-9. "Following our memorandum of understanding with Boeing in February for these 32 737 MAX aircraft, we are pleased to announce the signing of this definitive purchase agreement. We believe that the economic and operating advantages of the 737 MAX will serve our airline customers well as they favor modern, fuel efficient aircraft," said John L. Plueger, Chief Executive Officer and President of Air Lease Corporation. ALC continues to grow its investment in the 737 MAX family. In February the lessor added 18 737 MAXs to its portfolio. With the new order, ALC has 130 737 MAXs in its backlog.
