  1. Cessna Outperforms 2013 With Higher Deliveries In 2014
Wichita based airframer Cessna has done alot better in 2014 compared to 2013. Deliveries for 2014 are significantly up over the previous year. The parent company, Textron Aviation suggests that Cessna delivered 159 business jets in 2014 versus 139 in 2013. The light jet sector is slowly rising, at least from the perspective of Cessna and the acquisition of Beechcraft March last year accounted for a boosted bottom line overall. The Beechcraft line did decently too with some 113 deliveries recorded for King Air models. In totality, the revenue for the Textron company soared to 4.5-billion with a profit 234-million. if you compare these figures to 2013 performance, you will realize they took a loss in the region of 48-million. So 2014 was a vast improvement for Cessna/Textron Aviation. At the commencement of 2015, Cessna seems to be doing good with a reported backlog in the region of 1.4-billion.
