  1. Epic E1000 Turboprop On Course For Year-End Certification
Epic Aircraft is moving along nicely towards finishing up the test program and thus certification for their E1000 turboprop aircraft. With the FTV1 test bed in full operation the second, FTV2 is expected to join the test program later in the year, around October. It is expected that the second aircraft will have a full production finished interior for evaluation. Epic expects to have full type certification for the E1000 by the end of the year to have deliveries follow early in 2016.
  2. Epic Aircraft has strong orders already for this turboprop, numbering 60 to-date. That number carries the order book for the aircraft into 2017 so far. Let's look at the aircraft a bit closer. For $2.95 million dollars customers are getting a five passenger turboprop aircraft capable of flying up to 330-ktas with a range of around 1,600 nautical miles. The aircraft is powered via a single 1,200-shp Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-67A. The maximum altitude is FL340 (34,000-feet) and just 13.5 minutes to reach 28,000-feet . We look forward to seeing this aircraft delivered to expectant Epic clients.
