AIR ONE Prototype Unveiled AIR has flooded the media with renderings of their proposed personal eVTOL AIR ONE but we did not see a tangible aircraft until now. The company recently unveiled a full-scale prototype of the AIR ONE which is a personal sized eVTOL designed to be able to be stored in a house garage or driveway thanks to its collapsible wings. The aircraft once available to consumers is expected to fly up to 110 miles and at 155 mph on a single charge. The eVTOL will be capable from taking off from any flat surface.
"It is thrilling that we were able to celebrate this milestone and unveil AIR ONE at a truly iconic event like the Kentucky Derby, with the help of Churchill Downs," said Rani Plaut, CEO and Co-founder of AIR. "Alongside our newest partner, Aeroauto, the trailblazers we met at the Derby will play a crucial role in gaining public acceptance of personal eVTOLs, propelling the entire industry forward, transforming the way we move, and adding a dose of adventure to everyday life." Since emerging out of the covers the AIR ONE has finished a successful drop test and has concluded the first stage of the power and communication systems integration. The company is also currently preparing to start hover-testing shortly and continues to work closely with the FAA to finalize its formal application enroute to Step 2 of the G1 Certification Basis Document.
