  1. Airborne Starlink Details Emerge
SpaceX's Starlink low-earth orbit satellite product is rolling out more and more. We are seeing its applications on houses, yachts and RV's but the next step is to have it working on airplanes. That next step has been in the works and it looks like it may be coming sooner than expected. SpaceX is currently looking to establish partners to develop supplemental type certificate (STC) upgrades. The company already has STCs in the works for Bombardier Global models and Challenger 300/350s; Embraer ERJ-135/145s and Legacy 600/650s; Dassault Falcon 2000s as well as Gulfstream's G450s, G550s, and G650s.
  2. The aviation related Starlink hardware is likely going to be available by mid-2023. That hardware will cost approximately $150,000 while the service will range from $12,500 to $25,000 per month and all plans the company suggests offer unlimited data. SpaceX founder Elon Musk has been testing the airborne Starlink system on his Gulfstream G650. "Passengers can engage in activities previously not functional in flight, including video calls, online gaming, virtual private networks and other high data rate activities," the company said. Productivity on business jets will be further enhanced with faster data speeds available.
