First 100 Flight Hours Of The Bombardier Global 7000 Program The Bombardier Global 7000 first flew late last year and since then amassed 100 hours in flight testing. This first 100 hours has been conducted by the first test article FTV1 and Bombardier is actually preparing to fly the second flight test article very soon. In fact FTV2 is completed and having some initial tests done before making its first test flight which is expected very soon. The Bombardier Global 7000 is on track to enter service in the second half of 2018.
During the financial earnings call on February 16th, Bombardier disclosed that the test program for the Global 7000 is progressing well. Alain Bellemare, president and CEO of parent company Bombardier said, The Global 7000 FTV1 , “is showing a high level of maturity, demonstrating that we have captured the lessons learned from the C Series program.” There is still no concrete word on the timeline for the Flagship Global 8000 but work continues apace to bring the Global 7000 to market in the second half of next year.
