Global 5500; 6500 Executive Jets Unveiled By Bombardier Canadian airframer Bombardier announced yesterday that it is adding two new members to its Global family of jets, the Global 5500 and Global 6500. The announcement was strategically made just before the start of the 2018 EBACE event in Geneva, Switzlerland. They also announced the change in name for the Global 7000 which will be called the Global 7500 from now on. This will serve to strengthen the idea that they are likely not placing much emphasis on developing the Global 8000 too. The new additions will give operators of the Global 5000 and Global 6000 the opportunity to step-up to the 5500 and 6500 as these new jets are offering 500 and 600 nautical miles extra in range respectively. Coupled with a brand new interior that incorporates the new Bombardier 'Nuage' seat -which will premiere on the Global 7500 (formerly the 7000)- and also a dynamic chaise lounge -'Nuage Chaise' - which is set to redefine interior comfort. The Nuage chaise, which adds new dimensions to the conference suite as a lounge chair that converts into a flat surface for sleeping or banquet-style dining around the table.
