  1. Blackbird Commits To 100 eFlyer 4s From BYE Aerospace
BlackBird, the world’s leading on-demand general aviation marketplace, and BYE Aerospace, the world’s leading electric aircraft developer, recently announced a long-term partnership to make flying more affordable than driving for trips up to 300 miles. BYE Aerospace has received commitments for 100 of their eFlyer 4 electric aircraft from this company. As time progresses we will see how this relationship bears fruit as you have to remember these planes are yet to be certified.
  2. The partnership also calls for 10 units of the eFlyer 2 by BYE Aerospace. "At less than $50 an hour to operate, the eFlyer 4 is the future of aviation," said Rudd Davis, CEO of Blackbird. "When it is accessible to everyone through BlackBird, it will become the future of personal transportation". The new eFlyer 4 aircraft will be FAA certified following soon after the 2-seat eFlyer 2 certification – already well underway with the FAA. The advantages of these types of aircraft are numerous. The energy cost for the electric eFlyer 4 is four times less expensive than driving a conventional car per mile, three times faster, and requires no aviation fuel, resulting in zero emissions and significantly lower noise pollution compared to conventional aircraft. The affordability aspect alone helps answer high overhead and drives replacement of today’s outdated legacy general aviation aircraft fleets.
