  1. Cessna Citation CJ3+ Attains EASA and Brazilian Certification
American airframer Cessna has announced that it recently attained certification from two major regulatory bodies, the Brazilian and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for the Citation CJ3+ business jet. The double certification on both sides of the Atlantic comes at a good time allowing Cessna/Textron Aviation to begin deliveries of the CJ3+ to customers in the respective regions later this year. The Citation CJ3+ gained initial certification from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration in September, less than six months after its market introduction in March 2014. By the end of 2014, Cessna had already delivered 10 Citation CJ3+ aircraft, contributing to the company’s stronger business jet delivery performance in 2014. With a range of 3,778 kilometers (2,040 nautical miles), the Citation CJ3+ can easily fly non-stop from London to Moscow or Cairo, or Madrid to St. Petersburg. The CJ3+ accommodates up to nine people and can climb to 13,716 meters (45,000 feet) in just 27 minutes, allowing it to operate above some weather and avoid more crowded flight levels.
  2. Over in Brazil, the Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil also gave the nod to the latest generation of the Citation family jet. “The range, performance and economics of the Citation CJ3+ make it a natural fit for operations in Brazil, a country that has long been one of Cessna’s largest markets,” said Bob Gibbs, vice president, Sales. “The Citation CJ3+ represents the latest, proven technology in terms of avionics and cabin productivity and carries on the brand promise expected from the Cessna name.”
