FAA Certifies Cessna Citation Longitude The newest jet from Textron Aviation, the Cessna Citation Longitude has been certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). With FAA Type Certification out of the way, Cessna can now focus on deliveries of the new Super Midsize jet to customers. The testing phase was rigourous and long-winded totaling nearly 6,000 hours and encompassing 11,000 test points. One of the Longitudes also embarked on a world tour which covered 31,000 nautical miles which allowed it to operate in different scopes of airport altitude, runway length and field temperature.
