  1. Smooth Flight For Cessna Denali Development
It has been a relatively smooth flight so far in the early development of Textron Aviation's new Single Engine Turbo Prop (SETP) called the Cessna Denali. The Denali is powered by GE Aviation's new 1300 shp Catalyst powerplant and is connected to a large 105 inch McCauley prop that is made from composite materials. GE Aviation says that they have ran the new engine to its full power already with FADEC assistance and accumulated 1,000 test running hours.
  2. As for the interior, Textron Aviation/Cessna is providing this aircraft in passenger and cargo variations. For passenger you can expect either a more Executive setting or a Commuter style arrangement. The Executive layout will feature six reclining seats to create a bit more space while the Commuter type interior will have three more seats to be able to seat nine in the cabin. Pressurization of the cabin will be at just over 6,000 ft at 31,000 ft altitude. Flight testing of the actual aircraft is expected to commence later this year.
