  1. Quest Aircraft Being Acquired By Daher
In an interesting move, Daher is moving in on purchasing Quest Aircraft Company in an announcement made today by Quest. Quest Aircraft for those who may be unfamiliar builds the popular Kodiak 100 turboprop. The deal is expected to be finalized by the end of this year and when it does conclude, Daher's portfolio and offering will expand. It will also see Daher having a plant in mainland United States.
  2. The Kodiak 100 is a 10-seat high-wing unpressurized turboprop which is in a slightly different sub-market and should not compete directly for market share of Daher Socata's fast TBM line of turboprops. Originally created for humanitarian missions in developing countries, the Kodiak 100 is an agile and robust aircraft, capable of operating on uneven and ultra-short runways, while offering optimal safety. Certified in 67 countries, the Kodiak 100 is used worldwide by air-taxi, recreational and leisure operators, along with businesses, pilot-owners and humanitarian organizations. "The Quest Aircraft Company’s acquisition represents an additional step in our development in the United States and an overall strengthening of our aircraft manufacturing business," said Daher CEO Didier Kayat. A Kodiak 100 will be at the Paris AirShow on display by Daher.
