Daher To Add EcoPulse Variant To Model LineUp While Daher Socata has been quietly working on their EcoPulse technology demonstrator to see the feasibility of utilizing hybrid-electric application in future aircraft, there is a definite shift towards adding it as a fifth model to the lineup. Currently Daher builds 4 models, two from their TBM line and two from the Kodiak line. Kodiak 100 Series III and the recently introduced Kodiak 900 as well as the TBM 910 and latest TBM 960. In fact the latest of the TBM 960 is at the 2023 SUN 'n FUN with the 'sirocco' paint scheme.
The EcoPulse technology demonstrator is being tested with two motors installed so far to focus on thermal related issues. It will then move on to testing four motors again before finally adding all six electric motors by June of this year. By then, it expects to make its public debut at the Paris Air Show. Of course the EcoPulse is being developed in concert with Airbus and Safran. Figuring-out which motor configuration is best for a production-based model is part of the focus at present.
