Orders Up; Deliveries Down For Dassault Falcon In 2018 With the ending of 2018 and the dawn of a new year we look back at how French airframer Dassault Falcon performed in the last year. The general synopsis is that Order intake was up while deliveries fell compared to the previous year. Orders continued to rise based on the figured of previous years. In 2016 there were 21 orders for Falcons while in 2017 this rose to 38 examples. As of December 31 the orders for Dassault's business jet unit stood at 42.
Deliveries dropped by eight aircraft to 41 in 2018 even though Dassault says the figure is still within their delivery forecast. The backlog is dwindling a bit, down to 53 aircraft overall, compared to 91 deliveries back in 2015 and 52 in 2017. Dassault will be looking to perform better in 2019 and looking ahead to deliveries of the new Falcon 6X down the line.
