Paris Airshow Debut For Eviation ALICE JF wrote an article at the end of 2018 on the Eviation ALICE which is a commuter fully-electric composite aircraft. At the time, renderings proved to be the main avenue from which an idea could be garnered about the aircraft. Eviation was aiming to have a real aircraft at the Paris Airshow in 2019 and they succeeded in that. The 53rd edition of the Paris Airshow saw the debut of this Israeli aircraft.
Eviation says they expect to be able to fly up to nine commuters a total of 650 nautical miles with a single full-charge flying at 10,000 ft and speed of approximately 276 mph. They even have an 'double-digit' order from U.S company Cape Air. One of the main differences we see on the example that was on static display in Le Bourget is in the propellers. The renders always showed a two-blade propeller setup but the unit on display had a five-blades. Eviation says they have the financing to see the aircraft through certification. Once testing starts, they will move the aircraft to the United States . They are hoping the first flight test to start later this year. Certification is planned for 2022.
