  1. FAA Type Certification Granted To King Air 260
The United States-based Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has formally given the King Air 260 its type certification. This comes after certification to the larger flagship King Air 360 model. The first 260C which is the cargo door variant of the regular 260 is being worked on and the certification will allow deliveries like these to go forward. The King Air 260 will see many of the upgrades that the 360 sister received.
  2. Some of these upgrades and comforts include; pilot oriented upgrades such as the Innovative Solutions & Support’s (IS&S) ThrustSense autothrottle, a digital pressurization controller and Collins Aerospace’s Multi-Scan RTA-4112 weather radar. In the King Air 260 cabin, passengers will be able to enjoy the newly redesign seats which were brought forward to the 360 model. "The continual conversations we have with our customers play an integral role in the decisions we make about the design of new aircraft, as well as enhancements to our existing fleet," said Textron Aviation senior v-p of engineering and programs Chris Hearne. "With the King Air 260, we used that valuable feedback and truly elevated the flying experience for both pilots and passengers." If you want one, it will cost you 6.7 million dollar according to current list prices.
