  1. Lufthansa Technik's First ACJ350 Completion
It is no secret that Lufthansa Technik is one of the most recognizable names in maintenance, completion and even refurbishment. Their first ACJ350 interior cabin completions project will be soon underway. The aircraft is expected to arrive at their facilities in April 2020. The Special Air Mission Wing of the German Government is the customer. Remember in the last few years transporting government officials and the head of state of Germany became an embarrassing spectacle after the aircraft used to do so broke down frequently. As a result new aircraft were ordered to help increase mission reliability. The A350 ACJ was that choice and Lufthansa Technik is going to be doing the cabin completions work.
  2. The client wants a special transitional cabin which will make it easier to have the aircraft delivered to them in as short a time as possible. "The German Air Force was our very first external customer," said Wieland Timm, senior director of sales for VIP and special-mission aircraft at Lufthansa Technik. "We have been equipping its aircraft, including government aircraft, for decades, thus forming a comprehensive partnership. That we have now been asked to support and equip the latest generation of government aircraft as well is a great vote of confidence. With our wide-ranging expertise for the A350, we are well equipped to meet the high expectations of the new government aircraft." The transitional cabin is expected to have a prominent office area and spacious conference area to be able to execute the role of head-of-state transport. There will also be a multi-functional lounge to provide flexibility for the guests onboard. The rest of the cabin will be available to the accompanying delegations. Numerous bathrooms will also be fitted, more than usual and have a kitchen that can provide tailored meals for as many as 150 persons.
