  1. Fourth Cessna Citation Longitude Flies
Textron Aviation's Longitude program continues with the addition of a fourth example to the test regime. Four days ago, on May 6th, the fourth unit took off from Wichita to stretch its wings for the first time. So far the test fleet is approaching the 400 hour mark in test hours after conducting around 200 missions. The fourth example also flies less than 8 months after the first which shows the decent progress the program is making.
  2. The 23.9 million dollar Longitude will offer something different for customers simply from the fact that it is a proper super midsize aircraft giving a comfortable 6-foot cabin height. The fourth aircraft is fitted with an interior to monitor its performance as well as the pressurization system and testing the cabin technology systems. “In addition to further systems testing, this fourth aircraft allows us to evaluate the overall passenger experience in the cabin, which is just as vital as the performance and technology in the cockpit,” said Brad Thress, senior vice president of engineering. The three hour and twenty minute flight was piloted by Andrew Peters and Brian Giga who suggested the aircraft performed as expected.
