First Year Of Service For G500 With 25-Plus Deliveries Gulfstream has announced that in just over a year since the new G500 entered into service that they have delivered more than 25 units to customers. In this time period the first G500 to a Brazilian customer also happened. The first G500 was delivered in September of 2018. "When the first all-new G500 was delivered last September, we knew customers were receiving a mature aircraft backed by Gulfstream’s record of delivering on its promises," said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream. "Thanks to the research and development behind the G500, one of the most rigorous and robust flight-test regimens we’ve ever undertaken, and Gulfstream’s advanced manufacturing, we are getting these amazing aircraft to customers with proven performance capabilities."
The G500 has also been at the peak of performance having accumulated more than 35 city-pair records. The capability of the G500 is also noteworthy. Having been developed with its slightly bigger fleet-mate, the G600, their performance leaves customers satisfied. The G500 can fly 5,200 nm/9,630 km at Mach 0.85 and 4,400 nm/8,149 km at Mach 0.90. If you want to fly to the peak of its capability then the maximum operating speed is Mach 0.925 but your range will decrease even further.
