  1. Longest BizJet Flight Set By Gulfstream G650ER
Gulfstream has answered Bombardier's record setting Global 7500 firmly with a new endurance record posted by one of their G650ER aircraft. Since the G650/ER came into service at the end of 2012 it has been the staple for speedy long-range executive flight of any purpose-built business jet. Bombardier decided to tackle this top-of-the range jet head on with its Global 7500 setting a commanding record flight of 8,125 nautical miles last month.
  2. This month Gulfstream announced it answered Bombardier with a flight of 8,379 nautical miles and also 44 minutes less time compared to the Global 7500 effort. The Gulfstream G650ER flew between the same points (Changi, Singapore and Tucson, Arizona) at an average 597 miles per hour/960 kilometers per hour. "Worldwide, you can't go farther faster, and this record proves it," said Gulfstream president Mark Burns. "With 350 aircraft in service, the G650 and G650ER show day in and day out that they are class-creating and leading aircraft that set the standard when they were announced and continue to do so today." The G650ER departed Singapore's Changi Airport at 4:53 p.m. local time March 29, crossing the Pacific at an average speed of Mach 0.85 and arriving in Tucson at 5:16 p.m. local time March 29, with fuel in excess of National Business Aviation Association instrument flight rules reserves. The flight took 15 hours and 23 minutes.
