First HondaJet ELITEs Delivered To Hawaii The East Pacific cluster of islands belonging to the United States known as the Hawaiian Islands have had their first deliveries of the latest iteration of the unique Over The Wing Engine Mount-style business jet from Honda Aircraft Company. In a ceremony held recently (June 27th), at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport, the aircraft were ceremonially delivered. It marks the first time light jets enter service in this jurisdiction.
The customer to which the HondaJet ELITEs were delivered to is called Wing Smart. It is a relatively young company that plans to provide luxurious and convenient charter services for inter-island transportation. They also intend to explore the Air Ambulance market with the HondaJet. If and when they do that, they would be the first to do so with this platform in the Hawaiian islands.
